Fitness Exploration Project

Finish after the Warrior Dash - my first 5k race
On the left, you will find the guidelines given to you in class for your Fitness Exploration project. Remember, this project is intended to stretch you into taking a risk on some new, out-of-school activity. The project will be due at the end of the semester, but I would encourage you to plan out your activity, brainstorm with family and friends, and complete your activity when the weather is nice!!!
One activity that I explored was running my first organized 5k race, the Warrior Dash. We had a lot of fun, got really dirty, and as you can see, we were tired but happy at the end.
Your activity can be a one-time event. It does not have to cost money, but it must be a non-school activity.  Recreational Equipment Incorporated, a.k.a. REI, has many free volunteering opportunities and many outdoor learning opportunities that take only an afternoon. Check out the website by clicking on REI volunteering.
